It’s happening to many normal people like you. Most products that you buy from the supermarket like food, clothes, and shoes are made by people who were trafficked to factories.Will human trafficking stop if we legalize it? Human trafficking has become a global problem, as it happens everywhere to all kinds of people. [1] Every year, more than 80,000 people are transported to another country to be sold as a prostitute, a worker, or a slave. 80% of them are women and children. Human trafficking happens in almost every country in the world.†¦show more content†¦It is a high profit and low risk crime. Traffickers do this for money and they get millions of dollars each year. For example taking organs from a victim’s body and then selling it on the black-market. One heart can cost $90,000 to $290,000, so one victim can pay a trafficker for a whole year. In many industrialized countries, many factories uses workers with little or no salary, and they have to work for a really long time with only very short break. These workers usually work and live in extremely poor conditions, to minimize the costs for the company. That’s why human trafficking is so common now. Human trafficking makes many people suffer from disease, mental problems, and addiction. for a long time. [5]This is especially true for those people who survived sexual exploitation.
